Option 1

Cross the Hajar Mountains by 4x4 and stop at Wadi Bani Khalid.
Continue into Wahiba Sands (Sharqiyah Sands), described in the source as a dune landscape about 180 km long.
Drive through the dunes, take in the desert scenery, have lunch with a Bedouin family and ride a camel.

Price: OMR 135 per car + OMR 15 per person, up to 4 adults.

Option 2

Times : Pick-up at 08:30 on day 1; return around 17:00 on day 2.

Day 1: coastal road via Quriyat, Wadi Shab with a walk of about 40 minutes and swimming, lunch, then the desert and camp overnight.
Day 2: breakfast, swimming and a short walk at Wadi Bani Khalid, then return to Muscat.

Price per person: OMR 350 for 1 person; OMR 185 each for 2; OMR 140 each for 3; OMR 125 each for 4.

Are the dunes 180 km long?
